Spring Sports Strength
Core Stability is a key component of success for an athlete.
Anyone can slap together a bag workout that leaves an athlete sweaty & tired, but is your athlete getting a comprehensive program that is preparing them for their sport? Here at Hoxie Strength & Fitness, we prioritize the following:
Power - nearly all sports use power based movements to ensure speed & acceleration on the field/ice/court/etc. There is a power component written into every athlete’s program that is specific to their sport & ability levels.
Progression - we monitor your athlete’s progress and apply the progressive overload principle to ensure that they are making gains in the proper areas. No Hoxie Strength & Fitness athlete will ever enter their season under-prepared.
Nutrition - you can’t out-train a bad diet, even as a teenager (what the rest of us wouldn’t do for that metabolism though!). Our most successful athletes prioritize their recovery through our nutrition programs & proper sleep.
Love of movement - one of our number one priorities is to promote a lifelong love of movement. How many of us “used to be athletes”? One of the most important things you can teach kids is to make exercise a part of their daily lives. Hockey probably won’t last forever. LaCrosse might be done after high school or college. The foundations for life long habits are laid at Hoxie Strength & Fitness.
Anyone can put together a “tough” workout, but a good coach can make or break a kid’s love for the game. Solid programming is a key component for your athlete’s mental and physical preparedness for their sport season .
Applications for our youth spring programs open in March. In-season, off-season, all sports welcome!
